RapidDetect Awarded Teesside University Investment Zone Funding

Grant Success!🎉
Delighted to share that our RapidDetect project has been awarded funding through the Teesside University Investment Zone (IZ) Proof of Concept Fund.
The Achadu Lab will be leading the project research team in developing RapidDetect, a quantum-dot-based multi-modality detection kit that combines colorimetric and fluorescence nanosensing for rapid pathogen detection in water and biological samples.

The funding will support proof-of-concept studies, analytical validation, digital integration and industry engagement, helping us advance the technology towards real-world application and potential commercialisation.
A big well done to Saba Niaz (PhD student) and Dr Aboli Vavle for their valuable contributions to the concept development and preparation of this successful proposal.👏
Thanks to all our external partners that will be supporting the project.
